In 2016 I was embedded with Priorities USA, while part of Teal Media, for 14 months during the campaign cycle. Priorities USA brought us in to handle design, production, and art direction for both the in-house digital team and external vendors. Within that team, I managed two junior designs and a developer.
All of our design deliverables were built around audience persuasion with set conversion benchmarks. We designed and developed geotargeted polling tools and ad campaigns that successfully moved voters in targeted locations. I was responsible for designing and building most of the digital content, participating in weekly client meetings, and supporting in-house video and social teams. In addition to our ad testing and persuasion measurements, we did a lot of firsts on social media. We worked with Snapchat to design and run the first political ad filter producing one of their most used filters at that time.
Due to the fast-paced nature of the campaign, I introduced project management tools and processes to ensure high-volume asset production was successful and on schedule across several remote teams. Working with our development team we also identified a few security areas where we could provide process improvements around vendor on and off-boarding.
